Frequently asked questions about charter in Istria

I’ve booked a skippered charter. Why do I still need to leave a security deposit or pay a damage waiver?

If you are chartering with a skipper, the skipper is the contractual partner of the charter client, not a team member or employee of Vito Nautika.

He/she is not responsible for all damages aboard. The skipper is responsible for sailing the yacht, and if he accidentally damages the yacht, he will have to pay for the damage himself or through his skipper insurance, not the guest paying the deposit.

However, any damage caused by the client aboard is the client’s responsibility—for example, accidentally blocking the toilet, accidentally burning something, causing a fire whilst cooking, damages under the influence of alcohol, etc.

What is included in the Transit Log?

The transit log is calculated according to yacht length and bookable packages. In any case included are: Final cleaning, handover, check-in, check-out, unlimited WiFi, bed linen, exclusive SMS information, full drinking water tanks, basics (toilet paper, garbage bags, soap, …)
